I am hoping that you will be able to utilize this site as a learning tool.

Examples of exercises:

1. What is the census information for the locations that the book has visited?
2. What is the major industry in the area?
3. What are the unique things to do in the area?
4. Write a story set in one of the locations.
5. Determine distances between the locations or from the location to where you are.

I am sure that there are many more ways in which you can use the site to promote learning. Please feel free to post a comment with your suggestions.

Also, should you be interested, I have several articles on how to write which are directed at young writers and can be used in conjunction with a module on creative writing on my website Griffie World.  Any discussions or questions regarding the book itself can be posted on the forum Griffie World Talk.  I also welcome discussions on any other books, because one purpose of writing is to promote reading by making it fun and enjoyable.
